This week we’re talking about the Black-Eyed Children. A subject we first explored in Episode 14. But this time, we’re concentrating on the encounters rather than the theories surrounding these mysterious children.

Brian Bethel’s 1996 encounter in Abilene, Texas, helped bring the phenomenon into public awareness. Two boys approached his car asking for a ride, but their behavior and completely black eyes left him terrified. We also examine a 1998 encounter in a Portland parking garage and a 2010 report from an Ohio data center involving two teenagers who reportedly vanished from surveillance-camera view.

We discuss the similarities between the accounts. The recurring requests for permission to enter a car or building. Are these unexplained encounters, mistaken perceptions, or stories that have contributed to a modern urban legend?
